Yannick Brookes is the Principal of BSquare Advisors, where he leads consulting efforts focused on helping businesses and organizations refine their strategies, optimize operations, and elevate their brand identities. With a wealth of experience in higher education administration, organizational management, and brand development, Yannick collaborates with senior leadership teams to design and implement tailored solutions that drive long-term success.
Before founding BSquare Advisors, Yannick held key leadership roles, including Executive Director of Student Services, Community Engagement, and Equity at Columbia University Law School, where he was responsible for improving organizational effectiveness, enhancing student services, and shaping the school's overall strategic direction. He worked closely with stakeholders to streamline processes, implement effective training programs, and optimize internal communication.
Earlier in his career, Yannick served as Assistant Dean for Graduate Student Affairs at Columbia University's Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, where he established new divisions and worked to enhance student engagement. He also partnered with graduate admissions to create strategic initiatives that fostered collaboration across departments and improved the student experience.
As Campus Associate Dean of Student Development at Connecticut State Community College, Yannick played a pivotal role in launching and leading initiatives aimed at improving campus services and supporting student success. His leadership of the Center for Equity and Social Justice helped establish a space for the exploration of inclusivity and community-building efforts across the campus.
In addition to his consulting work at BSquare Advisors, Yannick currently serves as the Associate Dean of Students at the University of the District of Columbia’s David A. Clarke School of Law. He also contributes to the growth and development of The Urban Leadership Education and Development Institute (ULEAD Institute) as a member of its Board of Directors. Yannick actively volunteers his time with several community-based organizations, including City Relief – New York and The Salvation Army.
Yannick is in the final stages of completing his Doctor of Education degree at Northeastern University and holds multiple certifications, including Mental Health and Wellness in the Workplace, Inclusive and Ethical Leadership, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace. He earned his Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Legal Studies from University of Massachusetts Amherst. In his free time, Yannick enjoys spending time with his two dogs, Dash (French Bulldog) and Kenji (Shiba Inu).
